Pennsylvania Institute of Technology Receives Initial Accreditation for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Programs

MEDIA, PA, September 25, 2024 – The Pennsylvania Institute of Technology (P.I.T.) is proud to announce that the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) has awarded initial accreditation to its Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Abdominal-Extended. This prestigious recognition is awarded upon the recommendation of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS). P.I.T. is the only CAAHEP-accredited associate degree program in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

This accreditation status guarantees that these programs meet stringent standards of educational quality established by CAAHEP, JRC-DMS, and various professional organizations such as the American College of Radiology, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, among others.
