New Career & Technical Education Agreement with Chester Upland School District

February 3, 2019

We are pleased to announce a new Career and Technical Education (CTE) transfer agreement with the Chester Upland School District (CUSD).  This agreement enables eligible current and former Chester High School and Chester STEM Academy students to transfer credits earned in their CTE program to P.I.T. for college credit.  Former students of the CUSD can have their high school transcripts evaluated now for classes starting April and July 2019.

This agreement supports students who attend Chester High School and Chester STEM Academy and wish to continue learning and earn a degree in their area of interest.  P.I.T. is granting up to nine transfer credits to qualified CUSD students.  This is the equivalent of three courses or the first term of college!  Students benefit by getting a jump start at P.I.T. by receiving transfer credit and saving them time and money, as well as providing a head start on their careers or for further higher education plans.

P.I.T.’s president, Will Robinson, commented that “This agreement with the Chester Upland School District is another incremental step towards Pennsylvania Institute of Technology’s goal to become the unique educational option to the communities and constituencies we serve throughout southeastern Pennsylvania.”  President Robinson invites all Chester High School and Chester STEM Academy parents and students to our High School Week Information Sessions on May 7 and May 9, 2019, from 3 pm to 7 pm.  Meet the president on May 7, 2019, at 6 pm, and meet the Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Kimberly Marucci, on May 9, 2019, at 6 pm.  Call 610-892-1500 for more information.
