A Pioneer in Accredited Cannabis Degrees Adds a New Concentration and Faculty

Cannabis Studies is Growing and Now Students Can Learn to Grow Cannabis!

Media, PA – Pennsylvania Institute of Technology (P.I.T.), an independent college, located in Delaware County, proudly announces the addition of a new career track to the already wildly successful Cannabis Studies program.   The addition of the new Cannabis Horticulture track provides graduates yet another in-demand career avenue to the existing Business and Health Therapy tracks.  Students in the new Horticulture track will graduate with not only the knowledge required for a successful career in this booming field but will have the opportunity to apply their skills with hands-on hemp farming experience.

Leading the instruction of this track is one of the region’s most experienced and accomplished cannabis growers, Master Grower, Steven Miller.  Mr. Miller, a past first and fifth place winner of Telluride Cannabis Cup and Conference for Outdoor Strain of the Year, founded Still Hope, LLC in Redvale, CO in 2016, a high-yield, high-quality, medical-focused hemp growing organization.  Mr. Miller relocated Still Hope, LLC to Pennsylvania in 2019 as a licensed industrial hemp operation that includes cannabis/hemp consulting, harvesting and trimming services, product development, and marketing consultative services.  Stephen Miller’s career has been dedicated to growing and cultivating custom strains of medical-grade cannabis and optimizing industrial hemp operations, using a no-nonsense cost-efficient methodology that balances state of the art technology with sound organic cultivation fundamentals.

Students interested in entering the Cannabis Studies program have three concentration options, leading to unique and in-demand careers:

  • Cannabis Business
  • Cannabis Health Therapies
  • Cannabis Horticulture

Classes in all three tracks begin online, on January 11, 2021.  For more information or to apply, visit: www.pit.edu.
