Admissions and Agency Liaison

Hello and thank you for visiting the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology's (P.I.T.) website.

This section of our website highlights a key member of P.I.T.'s staff, Mary Jean Sitler, Admissions and Agency Liaison. Mary Jean has been an intricate part of our family here at P.I.T. since 2004. She has worked closely with instructors, staff and management to foster the relationship between P.I.T. and local agencies including Department of Public Welfare, Veterans Administration and Work Force Development.

Mary Jean has been providing Admissions counseling to students from all walks of life for over ten years. She has encouraged and provided support for students in both Bucks and Delaware Counties down their path to successful careers.

Mary Jean has also been a valuable source of information for helping students explore financial aid and grant options that best serves the student's individual needs.

We welcome you to visit our Campus and take a tour with Mary Jean.

Thank you again for visiting our website.

The Personal Discovery Process
I will begin the Admission's process by taking you through an extensive self assessment. The goal of this assessment is to make both of us aware of the true level of interest and commitment in Allied Health as a viable career option. I will be asking you questions that will give both you and I in depth insight to your ultimate career goals.

Planning Your Success
In addition to on-campus tours and meetings I also offer off-campus personalized meetings for students working with government agencies. My off-campus meetings are offered to students who are attending General Educational Development (GED) classes as well as remediation classes at an agency facility. The ultimate goal is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed! As the Admissions and Agency Liaison here at P.I.T. my job is not complete until I witness my students receive their diploma at graduation. For me the ultimate reward however, comes from the Alumni and the success stories they tell when they are gainfully employed in a career they love! Knowing that I was part of this process is what my job is all about.

Events
An auxiliary responsibility I provide is organizing and overseeing all agency-related events at Pennsylvania Institute of Technology. During such events, students are given the unique opportunity to interface with our instructors, as well as our Externship & Placement coordinator. Students get to experience the daily routine of a PIT student and a "day in the life" of being in their chosen field. Upcoming events include Student Seminars in Medical Assisting, Pharmacy and Medical Office Specialist. I keep these events small and personal, therefore advance registration is necessary for all Allied Health seminars.

If you have any questions or to schedule an appointment please email me at MSitler@pit.edu or contact me directly at 610-892-1538.

Thank you,

Mary Jean Sitler
Admissions & Agency Liaison
