Medical Billing & Coding Specialist
The purpose of the Medical Billing and Coding Specialist program is to prepare students for employment in a variety of medical billing and coding, health information, medical transcription and administrative/support positions in the health care field. Employment opportunities exist as admissions assistants, medical records clerks, receptionist, insurance clerks, and billing clerks among others. Four nationwide certifications are provided within this program: Certified Billing and Coding Specialist, Certified Medical Transcriptionist, Certified Medical Administrative Assistant and CPR/First Aid. Certification examinations are administered through the National Health Care Association, an international accreditation agency.

Medical Billing and Coding Specialist graduates are able to:
