For many families, paying for higher education can be a challenge. The
Financial Aid Office at Pennsylvania Institute of Technology is ready to
assist all qualified students in paying for their education. Now you can
pursue that computer science, pharmacy technician, healthcare management,
or other two year degree at our technology college. Or you can get a jump
on entering the workforce by earning one of our certificates, such as
physical therapist assistant or practical nursing.
Chances are very good that you qualify for financial aid.
85 percent of P.I.T. students receive financial aid in the form of grants,
scholarships, loans, or work-study. Some awards are made on the basis of
financial need, some for academic merit, and some for a combination of the
two. Let our financial aid office help you get the funding you need for tuition
so you can get started on your new technology degree or certificate – we can
help you with the application process and answer your questions.
How to apply for financial aid:
There are four steps that you can complete immediately to start the process of
applying for Financial Aid.
-
Gather and make copies of the most recent tax return for yourself, your spouse (if applicable), and your
parents (if you are under 24).
- Apply to make a Federal Student Aid ID and password (www.fafsa.ed.gov/)
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (www.fafsa.ed.gov/) as soon as possible. Our school
code is 010998.
- Many students receive student loans so a Master Promissory Note and Entrance Interview for Direct Loans
(www.studentloans.gov) must be completed.
